About Get Back to the Action
Get Back to the Action Sports Therapy is a Stokesley-based clinic offering sports injury treatment, occupational rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal (MSK) therapy.
I was commissioned to design a high-impact in-store digital display advertisement for rollout across Co-op retail screens, alongside supporting visual assets for the clinic’s wider marketing use.
The goal was to create a clear, professional and attention-grabbing design that communicates trust, clinical expertise, and fast understanding within seconds of viewing.
Project Overview
This project focused on rapid-impact advertising design, where messaging must be absorbed instantly in a busy retail environment.
Working directly with the clinic’s Managing Director, I refined the content and structure through several iterations to ensure clarity, compliance visibility, and strong visual hierarchy.
Key messaging included:
- Sports Injuries
- Occupational Injuries
- MSK (Musculoskeletal) Conditions
- “Treat the cause; not the symptom”
- Assessment, treatment and rehabilitation
- Location: Stokesley
The design also incorporated professional accreditation logos including HCPC registration, Society of Sports Therapists membership, GMC gait and motion clinics association, and Phits orthotics, carefully balanced to avoid overcrowding while maintaining trust signals.
Design Process
The creative process involved multiple refinements:
- Initial layout concepts for screen readability at distance
- Adjustments to hierarchy (services prioritised over repetition)
- Logo positioning and compliance balance
- Increased emphasis on treatment message and brand tagline
- Final optimisation for Co-op digital display format (D6 spec)
The final version ensured maximum clarity in a fast-moving retail setting, where viewers typically engage for only a few seconds.
