Hawthorn Lodges Country Park offers luxury holiday lodges in a peaceful countryside setting, attracting buyers looking for a high-quality holiday home within easy reach of the North East and Yorkshire.
I worked with Hawthorn Lodges to improve their online visibility and enquiry generation by bringing together website optimisation, SEO, paid advertising, and analytics tracking into a joined-up marketing strategy, delivered by a local digital marketing specialist rather than a London agency.
The goal was simple: generate more enquiries from potential lodge buyers while improving the efficiency of online advertising.

The first stage of the project was to review the website and identify improvements to strengthen both usability and performance.
Work included improving:
- Page structure and layout
- Mobile responsiveness
- Page speed and performance
- Enquiry form visibility
- Overall user journey through the site
For a holiday lodge development, the website acts as the digital showroom, so it needs to clearly present the lodges and guide visitors towards making an enquiry.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Alongside website improvements, the site was optimised to strengthen its visibility in search engines.
This included:
- Keyword optimisation for lodge ownership searches
- Improved page titles and meta descriptions
- Clear heading structure and content layout
- Internal linking improvements
- Local and regional SEO optimisation
These improvements help the website appear for searches related to holiday lodges, countryside retreats and lodge ownership.
Google Tag Manager & Analytics Tracking
To properly measure performance, a full tracking setup was implemented.
This included:
