Wheatsheaf Inn Website Redevelopment
Since my initial launch in 2017, the website for The Wheatsheaf Inn and Cowshed Restaurant has undergone a total transformation. The new design includes custom illustrations that reflect the pub’s rustic charm and heritage. It’s built with a streamlined, user-friendly accordion menu layout that allows visitors to navigate effortlessly through different sections.
Search Engine Optimisation
The redesign also features search engine optimisation (SEO) for all main pages, ensuring the site achieves greater online visibility and accessibility, and helping loyal patrons and new guests find their way to this unique establishment.
Simplified Navigation
In addition to these improvements, the contact information has been simplified and now includes an integrated map, making it easier for visitors to locate the Inn. The homepage displays images updated daily, creating a dynamic and inviting feel while highlighting the seasonal dishes, events, or menu changes.
About
Nestled in the village of Raby, The Wheatsheaf Inn is a cosy, historic 17th-century pub complemented by the Cowshed Restaurant, set within a beautifully converted cattle barn. Known for its rustic oak-beamed interiors, open fires, and extensive outdoor seating, the inn offers a charming experience that blends classic British pub culture with contemporary dining. A broad selection of cask and craft ales accompanies the menu, which showcases both traditional and modern fare crafted to highlight local ingredients.
As one of the oldest public houses in Wirral, The Wheatsheaf Inn stands out with its signature thatched roof and black-and-white timber construction, giving visitors an authentic taste of history alongside the comforts of modern hospitality.
