Project

HAHS Branding, Logo Design & Website Development

Branding, logo design and website development for Helmsley Archaeological and Historical Society, including a digital journal feed and committee training.

Goal

Preserve heritage through modern digital identity

A complete branding and website redevelopment for Helmsley Archaeological and Historical Society, including new identity, journal integration, and training for the committee.

About The Helmsley Archaeological and Historical Society

Helmsley Archaeological and Historical Society (HAHS), founded in 1950, plays a key role in preserving and promoting knowledge of archaeology and local history across the Ryedale area. The Society needed a refreshed brand identity and a modern website that reflects its long-standing academic and community presence.

The aim was to create a digital space that honours the Society’s heritage while improving access to lectures, summer visits, research materials, and the biennial Ryedale Historian journal.

Project Overview

This was a full branding and digital transformation project covering:

    • Brand identity development
    • Logo design
    • Website redevelopment
    • Content management training for the committee

The new website brings together the Society’s activities in a structured, easy-to-navigate format. It showcases the winter programme of illustrated lectures, the summer schedule of visits to archaeological and historical sites, and the rich archive of publications.

One key component was integrating a live feed of the Ryedale Historian journal, allowing members and researchers to browse issues directly from the website — a first for HAHS.
